, Can you give me some tips on colouring my own hair.It comes out too dark. I am using Loreal Paris hair colour.I am a natural brunette and want to cover some grey.Thank you.

Dear Maria, It is a good idea to stay close to your colour when you do it yourself. The trick is to chose the right colour. Most women think they are much darker than they are. You should choose a shade which is two shades lighter than what you beleive you are. Try to stick with neutral or warm shades for a more natural look. If your grey is sprinkled through your hair, try combing it on just where the grey is. Loreal is a good at home product. Use a shampoo that is formulated for color treated hair.Always condition your hair after colouring.
